| Nothing can be more impressive than a bat
wing lat spread and looking thick from
front
to back. A wide back is responsible
for the
tapered "V" shape. Are you
ready?
Let's get to it! Wide Grip Pullups - If you have a place where you can do pullups, this is one of the greatest lat developers going. Grab the chin bar with an overhand grip, wider than your shoulders; at least six inches wider. Pull yourself up, but try not to incorprate your biceps into the action so much. Pull yourself up through the movement by contracting your lats. Pull yourself up until your face is up over the bar and return to the starting position. Repeat movement for 12 reps. When you can do 12 reps add weight to a dip belt to conitnue with added resistance. Bent Over Row - Bend over at the waist with knees slightly bent and your back straight. Try to maintain the small curve in your lower back. Grab an barbell with an overhand grip wider than your shoulders. Pull the bar up into your ribs, not the stomach. Squeeze at the peak of the movement for maximum contraction. Return to starting position. Repeat for 12 reps. Want to really get a pump in those lats? Try supersetting pullups with some High cable rows! Feels the burn! |
