The fruit Cantaloupe is a Bodybuilder's best friend. Coming in at only 56 calories per cup it’s the lowest fruit calorie and carbohydrate wise there is. They are also VERY filling to the stomach. As most of you know when you’re on a diet you always crave food. Try downing a whole Cantaloupe and you’ll be full and bloated for quite a while. I wouldn’t suggest adding salt though like most people do. This will lead to water retention in the body and that you certainly don’t want during a contest. For those who don’t compete Cantaloupe is an excellent source of vitamin A and C. Studies show that people who regularly ate cantaloupe in their diets had 39% less Cataracts in their eyes! Your Mom used to tell you that Carrots were good for your eyes – she was kind of right, but Cantaloupe tops even Carrots. The fruit Cantaloupe is a Bodybuilders best friend
