“POINT of IMPACT”
with Laura Wise
Wow, has your life been as crazy
as mine
lately?, I am sure it has , what
awesome
times we live in…Sometimes we
get so caught
up just doin the stuff, that
we forget to
continue to do the things that
we do, that
allow us to continue to, do the
stuff. Long
way to say “maintenance”. Whether
it be our
daily devotionals, quiet time
with God, where
we keep communications open and
receive all
that is needed for the brand
new day...or
something as simple and basic
as giving the
body , the intended amount of
sleep for which
it was created. One thing to
work for is
a properly functioning pluming
system. We
could go on for days in hundreds
of different
directions on that topic, but
we will focus
on the “Lymph System” today.
It is God’s
Draino on a cellular level. Here
are some
important facts on the subject.
The Lymph System is widely distributed
throughout
the body through a network of
Lymph vessels,
capillaries, and nodes. It can
be likened
to an extensive sewage network.
It neutralizes
and drains away excess tissue
fluid, harmful
wastes, toxins, and plays a vital
role in
the body’s defense and immune
system. Lymph
Nodes are like the pit stops
at the Indy
500, they purify the lymph (alkaline,
clear,
and colorless tissue fluid) to
prevent infection
from passing into the blood stream.
Awesome
failsafe! 70% of the initial
lymphatics are
in and just under the skin. This
can explain
why Lymph Drainage Massage has
been so helpful
in :
*Reducing Lymphoedema ...even
after surgery
*Helpful to detoxify the body,
enhance and
clean the immune system
*Reducing pain, headaches and
backaches
*Improves some chronic conditions
as...sinusitis,
arthritis, acne, and other skin
conditions
*Relieves swelling and fluid
retention, swollen
ankles and puffy eyes
*Helping to heal injuries and
reduce bruising
*Improving scars, and stretch
marks and the
general appearance of skin
The massage allows the lymph
to flow more
freely around the body, renewing
and strengthening
cells and tissues while allowing
it to be
cleansed as it passes through
our “pit stops”….
lymph nodes. Any excess fluid
eventually
leaves the body via the kidneys.
See why
this is so important to body
builders? Unfortunately,
there are still some body builders
that limit
their workout to upper body alone,
see the
danger in that. This definitely
hinders the
Lymph System from flowing as
God had intended,
as a complete system, secondary
only to the
blood system in a returning pathway
to the
heart, accessing the entire body.
If you
have not already done so , start
implementing
some sort of lower body workout,
to aid in
balance and flow.
The more I learn about these
fearfully and
wondrously made bodies, the more
grateful
I am to God, the one who not
only created
them, but continually gives us
instructions,
on how to care for them…which
brings us back
to the beginning…your daily devotions,
a
quiet time, where you and God
connect, and
receive all you have need of,
for yourself
and for your loved ones, be blessed
and keep
flowin, your sis, Laura |
