Protein Brownie Bars
  • 4 Cups rolled oats
  • 3 Cups Non-Fat Dry Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Sauce
  • 10 Tbsp Cocoa
  • 2 Cups Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup (Walmart brand)
  • 4 Tsp Vanilla
  • 10 Egg Whites
  • 8 Scoops Chocolate Soy Protein
  • 2 1/2 Cups Water
  • 2 Cups Texturized Vegetable Protein

-
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Mix all the dry stuff in bowl to blend it
  • Add in remaining ingredients and mix well. Consistency is sort of like cookie dough
  • We back these in a large jelly roll pan or baking pan. Spread about 1 1/2" thick. Spray pan with no-fat spray before adding mixture.
  • Bake until lightly browned. They become more solid when cooled. Since the protein is choc. flavored you might not noticed the top brown that much.
  • Cut into 24 and store in the frig in sealable bags.

**The Texturized Vegetable Protein as well as the rolled oats can be purchased at your local health food store in bulk bins. We used Chocolate Soy protein but other types can be substituted if you like. Whey protein would increase the total protein amount and, depending on the brand, lower the carbs.**
