1) What's your favorite Scripture?

Phil 4:13 "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." I think as Christians, we often forget or don't acknowledge the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT! I wake up each day and post this to my forehead (not literally::)), no matter what aspect of my life. When I
started working out, I weighed all of 120 pounds and feel the sky is the limit even though I'm 43. HE can do all things through us if we are faithful and acknowledge his AWESOME presence and power. Evangelist Joel Osteen has a book out now called, "Your Best Life Now" which I am reading. BELIEVE it and it can happen...don't believe what Satan tries to convince
you of.

2) Who were your childhood heroes?

First and foremost, my brother Tim. He taught me to never give up, to pursue things with all your heart, and how to enjoy God's creation through hunting in the great outdoors. He was a stud in sports, and I idolized him. Still do. Walter Payton and later, Arnold....Now, it's Russ Testo. He has been my
mentor in posing. You can tell him that too ::))

3) If you could meet anyone from the Bible, who would it be and why?

Good question...probably the Sons of Thunder, James and John, since I can relate to their personalities so well.

4) What is a typical day in your life like?

I manage a health club, so it can get crazy sometimes. However, I usually start with scripture, some chores around the house, and of course, a healthy breakfest before training around noon. After that, it's keeping things in line at the club. My day has a lot of variation as I have numerous hobbies besides training. We're expecting our first child in less than a week so I'm sure my typical day is about to change. (side note - since we did the interview, Todd & Kim had a beautiful baby.....)

5) What Biblical figure do you most identify with & why?

Peter from the New Testament and Elijah from the Old Testament...both were aggressive and bold.

6) What trait do you like most about yourself?

I'm fairly determined to accomplish what I set out to do.

7) What trait do you least like about yourself?

Were do I start?? I am probably pretty head strong at times.

8) How have you been able to represent God in your sport?

My first goal when competing is to witness through my posing and choice of song. Most recently I posed to Michael W. Smiths' song, "Awesome God" and won best poser. I had numerous people come up and thank me for my witnessing....one judge even said it made her cry. That is what makes competing special for me. NOTHING else matters, as it's all for HIM!

9) If you could change one thing in your sport, what would it be?

Eliminate drugs from the sport to erase so many stereotypes associated with bodybuilding.

10) If you were to die today and go to heaven, what would you like to hear God say?

Well, done, good and faithful servant.

IT WOULD BE REMISE OF ME NOT TO MENTION SOME PEOPLE WHO HAD A HUGE HAND
IN HELPING WITH MY WALK WITH THE LORD. TO JERRY JOHNSON, MY BODYBUILDING
AND HUNTING PAL FROM YEARS BACK WHO NEVER GAVE UP ON ME. YOUR STEVEN CURTIS
CHAPMAN CD'S AND MAX LUCADO BOOKS PLANTED MANY SEEDS. SCOTT VALASEK, WHO
HELPED LEAD ME TO THE LORD AT VILLAGE INN. THANK YOU FOR CONTINUING TO INVITE ME TO CHURCH AND BEING SUCH A WONDERFUL CHRISTIAN ROLE MODEL. TO RUSS TESTO, PROVERBS 3:5-6, YOU'VE BEEN A MENTOR TO ME AS A CHRISTIAN AND BODYBUILDER, NOT TO MENTION TURNING ME ON TO JOHN MCARTHUR. AND BRYON MASON, WHO GAVE ME MY FIRST BIBLE WHICH I STILL USE AND CHERISH...AND FINALLY, MY ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER JOHN ZUREK, FOR ALWAYS BEING THEIR WHEN I NEED YOU THROUGH THICK AND THIN AND BEING THE GODFATHER OF MY CHILD. YOU'RE NOT A BAD BARBER EITHER ::))

ALL OF THESE MEN HAVE A LOVE FOR THE LORD AND FOR PUMPING IRON, AND I AM GRATEFUL FOR THEIR PRESENCE IN MY LIFE.

We would like to thank Todd once again for participating in our interview and wish him and his wife well as they raise there new little one! Good luck and God bless!
